Review 2021

December 2021   Now we have reached the end of the year 2021. I still love my flute.  This time the review from 2021 is worthy of its name.

Antiquarian Sheet musik

November 2021   I have been able to recognize that there is an increase in the difficulty to change position: when grip connections from "D" are involved.

October 2021

October 2021   Okay! I took out the first plug. The “F” is now a real ring key. That means from now on: I must cover the key precicely with the fingertip.

First steps with the new flute

September 2021   In the first lesson, the new flute is extensively tested by my teacher. She likes the warm sound (I could have bet on that) and is surprised by the smooth action. ...

Buying a flute

August 2021   The flute purchase. My teacher is ill on the appointed day. I call both shops to tell them and postpone the appointment. My preference: a silver headjoint and ring keys....

When Krishna plays the flute

July 2021   I have the clear feeling that I must slowly realise the purchase of a new flute. The sound of my Yamaha student flute is making the flute-rookie increasingly dissatisfied....

L.I.P.s

February 2021   To top off the craziness, (remember, we're in Corona times, so you're kindly forgiven for a lot of things), more L.I.P.s were made. (Lockdown Insanity Preventions). I ...

Light blue

January 2021   Now that all of life is shutting down again, a lot of crazy thoughts are popping up. Should I buy a new flute, or a second-hand one of higher quality? I am very sympath...

No lessons

December 2020   There are no more lessons from now on. Neither piano nor flute lessons. The numbers of people infected with Corona and those in quarantine are increasing.

Overhaul

November 2020   I take the flute to overhaul. The flute maker checked and cleaned it, oiled the hinges, replaced a pad and adjusted the tuning cork.

Practising in nature

October 2020   I like the flute more each day. I practise the three notes and got into a fixed practising routine because of my piano lessons.
